Hispanic Heritage Day Celebration

Hispanic Heritage Day Celebration

Posted on 12. May, 2009 in News

The ASO once again orchestrated a great celebration for Hispanic Heritage Day. It kicked off with a welcome from VP Student Services Ramon Castillo, and then ASO president Allison Reid presented the “Spirit of Excellence” award to our guest and former California lieutenant governor Cruz Bustamante. He delivered a rousing speech about believing in education. Then some great acts took the stage including Selena and Carlos Santana (I think he works in Admissions). The Rise Club provided great food and Wes from Hot92 Jams provided great music. It was a very special day!
