Problem with TAP Cards – Corrected

REGARDING TAP CARDS

LA Metro TAP Pass

There is a problem with the programming of the TAP cards from LATTC and other groups and MTA is working to solve the problem.

For now, no replacement TAP card is necessary – the card should be okay if you have gotten new one starting July 1, 2009 once MTA fixes the programming.

In the meantime:

  • If you are on the bus:

If your card is not reading properly, show your receipt to the driver. If the driver is not cooperative, then get bus number and driver number (on driver’s shirt sleeve) and notify 1-866-taptogo (1-866-827-8646)

  • If you are on the train:

If your card does not work properly, show receipt to the Sheriff Deputy and if they get a citation, call 1-866-taptogo (1-866-827-8646) you will be asked for the citation and MTA will take care of the ticket

We are sorry for the inconvenience!

LATEST UPDATE!

The TAP Cards are now working properly. The error has been corrected.
