The Letters for the New Building Arrive on Campus

One of the most striking components of the new South Campus buildings will be the massive LATTC letters facing west, on the Technology building. The 23-foot-high letters will be visible from the neighboring freeways and from all parts of our nearby communities. It will become a distinctive visual landmark for the college, and something we can point to as a wayfinding signpost for future students and community partners. The giant letters are being shipped as we speak, and are making their way across country to Grand and 23rd where they will be installed on Thursday.

The installation will take place about noon on Thursday, and we are currently looking for the best vantage point for staff and students. If you are interested in watching the placement of the last letter “C”, we will be gathering about 11:30am. I will give you the location sometime before Thursday. It is an exciting time for Trade Tech and our new additions to the campus landscape.
