Another valuable service being provided to Trade Tech students next week is the opportunity to receive flu vaccinations on campus. The first 200 vaccinations are being provided FREE OF CHARGE through the LATTC Student Health Center, and the work of Dean of Student Services, Dr. Theda Douglas and her team. The free shots will be available to the FIRST 200 students, who show a current Trade Tech student identification card. After the 200 free shots are given out, the vaccinations will cost $20. Here are the dates for the flu vaccinations….Tuesday October 13th 8:00am to 4:00pm, Wednesday October 14th 8:00am to 6:00pm (to serve some of our evening students) and Thursday October 15th 8:00am to 4:00pm. The vaccinations will take place in the student Health Center located in E-102.
This vaccine will protect you against three of the most common seasonal flu viruses.
Please note that this seasonal vaccine will not protect you against the 2009 H1N1 influenza strain currently being called the swine flu.

To whom i may concern
I feel that all flu shots should be free of charge to ALL PAID registered student, simply because this is a service that we who have al our fees paid acually pay for. It is not right for me to pay for a flu shot I have to leave class early or miss class for a shot that is needed and if I don't get there in time I wil have to pay or actually I wil have to pay now because the date has come and gone. So now I am told that I must pay for the shot, But I am force to pay for health fees that are not an option to have whether I use it or not I have to pay health. So again this why I feel that the shot should be free to all registered paid students the choice should be up to the individual student. Thank You.
