ASO Halloween Costume Contest is Scary Good

The ASO Halloween Costume contest brought out some real creative attire. All over campus Trade Tech students wore some outrageous get-ups and even some of the staff dressed up in a wide variety of disguises. But the highlight was the ASO contest which really showed off some remarkable presentations. Winning this year’s contest was Dexter Mayfield who was dressed as the Medea character from the Tyler Perry movies. Mayfield captured $100 and just edged out David Sherrard who was dressed as “Mer-man”, a half-man, half-fish effort. Sherrard won $75. Third place went to Cheryl Herrera who dressed as “Catwoman” capturing $50. The $25 fourth place award went to Yeniter Duque who was dressed as a nerd. In addition to the costume contest, the students enjoyed a dance presentation by Fire and Ice. They are part of a youth program designed to re-invigorate neighborhoods in Los Angeles.
