As of 3:30pm on Tuesday, January 26th, a new TAP card machine was delivered to the Trade Tech Business Office. After some tests, it appears the machine is working fine, and will allow students to purchase and load new TAP cards for the Spring semester. The TAP cards allow any full-time student to ride the Metro system (buses and trains) between February 8th and June 3rd. If a full-time student turns in their old card, the cost is $15 for the new card. If a student does not have the old card or is purchasing a card for the first time, the cost is $20. We encourage all full-time students to take advantage of this transit value.

today i spoke with the MTA reps and they said they were having problems activating some cards from Trade Tech. Anyone else is having trouble with their cards?
I believe we have figured out our problems and the TAP card machine is running again.

Can a college student who does not attend LATTC pay for a TAP card here?
