Commencement is YOUR event, and the graduation speaker is one the most important pieces of the event. Please consider sharing your words with us. Here’s what you have to do….

 

Please prepare a 3-5 minutes speech focusing on the graduation theme “Legacy of Excellence”  The introduction may include:

 

Submit all speeches to Dorothy Smith, Dean. Location:  ST-320 by May 10th

 

  1. Definition of legacy and excellence.
  2. An example of the words as they  relate to the student experience
  3. Student Success as an example of excellence

 

The body  should be 2 paragraphs that highlight “Excellence as they know it and Legacy related to the Trade Tech experience for students.

 

Finally, the conclusion will summarize the speech.

 

Try-outs will be held in C-107 (ASO) on Tuesday May 14th @ 3 p.m

If you are a graduate participating in the LATTC commencement exercises on June 2nd, please know that a DVD is being produced capturing the day. Make sure you pick one up, so you can have a keepsake from your very special day. We will capture everyone who crosses the stage that day. Either reserve your copy of the video by calling the LATTC Public Relations department at 213 763-7063 or get yours at the bookstore a week or so after graduation. Proceeds are going to the ASO.
