Summer Youth Employment Program
Los Angeles Trade Technical College’s Bridges to Success/Workforce and Economic Development in partnership with the Associated Student Organization, is launching the 2010 Summer Youth Employment Program SAVE-LA: Student Ambassadors Valuing the Environment – Los Angeles. This grant-funded program is designed to train and provide green workforce-related summer employment to youth who meet special program eligibility requirements that include:
- Youth between the ages of 17-19 who are members of a family receiving assistance from LA County (CalWORKS and Food Stamps)
- A Foster Youth between the ages of 17 – 19
- Youth 18 – 24 who are currently receiving General Relief benefits through the Department of Public Social Services (DPSS)
SAVE-LA is a seven-week program from July 6 until August 20, 2010. Participants will earn $9.20 per hour for up to 160 hours.
LA County Department of Public and Social Services has mailed out letters to qualified individuals. If you meet any of the eligibility requirements specified above, complete the SYEP 2010 Interest Questionnaire and you will be invited to the LATTC SYEP SAVE-LA orientation.
