Cosmetology is offered at only one of the Los Angeles Community College District Campuses. Trade Tech is a leader in the education of tomorrow’s cosmetology professionals.
Seasoned professional instructors guide our students through an award winning 1600-hour state mandated program utilizing various support materials to present the highest quality education available. When students graduate from the LATTC Cosmetology program they are prepared for their state board examination.
In keeping with the high standards of the beauty industry, the LATTC Cosmetology Department maintains a close relationship with industry professionals. Comprehensive theory and practical partnerships have been formed with such companies as Pivot Point International* , a leader in cosmetology education, to help educate quality students.
Established beauty salon and beauty supply owners, make-up artists, hairstylists, graduates and educators are invited to share their experiences and skills to keep students motivated and focused on their careers.

In May “Supercuts “ hosts the ” Supercuts Super Sunday” hair show and competitions for Private and Public Beauty schools.
Students come from all over southern California to strut their stuff.
Our college sponsored an in house competition and sent Jacob Niteo and Peter Gomez along with model Veronica Maldanado as our student representatives.

Due to the Grand Theater being under renovation, this year’s Hair Show took place outside in the K-Mall. This brought the cosmetology students’ work up close and personal to everyone. Each class presented various themes and really worked the runway with their hair, makeup, and attitude.
