Welcome to Los Angeles Trade-Technical College (LATTC) International Student Center (ISC). It is our pleasure to help you reach your educational and career dreams. The best of the two worlds meets here where you can get quality and affordable education whether you are interested in a career technical program or plan to transfer to a four-year university.
LATTC is a public 2-year community college centrally located on a 25-acre campus in Downtown Los Angeles. We gladly accept international student applications from all over the world. Our college currently offers over 65 programs and students may graduate with an Associates Degree or a Certificate of Completion. Many of our students transfer to a 4-year university after completing their general education requirements. One of the advantages of attending a community college before attending a university is that tuition is more affordable.
LATTC international students who complete their program of study can apply for Optional Practical Training(OPT) during their last semester. If USCIS approves the application, students may work in the United States to gain practical experience for up to one year after completing their studies.
LATTC has a fully-staffed International Students Center (ISC) located in the new Student Services Building. Our college also has several bilingual counselors. Other student services include: the University Transfer Center, tutoring, and the Associated Student Organization (ASO). Our helpful and friendly staff is here to help you succeed!
When students are not busy studying, Los Angeles is a wonderful place to discover. Our campus is located approximately 8 miles (12.88 km) from Hollywood, 15 miles (24.15 km) from Venice Beach, and 30 miles (48.30 km) from Orange County.
Provide international students with the information and support services they need to meet their educational goals at LATTC while adhering to the policies and procedures of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
The International Student Center at LATTC provides support services and referrals to all F-1 Visa students attending the college. Services include processing application, issuing I-20s, providing information and resources regarding F-1 visa policies, advising regarding educational and career goals, informing students regarding ASO activities and scholarship opportunities, and referring students to other resources (i.e. tutoring, learning skills, book-loan program) available at the college.
The various services and programs performed by the International Student Center staff include the following key areas:
- Comprehensive International Student Orientation.
- Admissions processing and file evaluations for timely enrollment.
- Strategic marketing, recruitment, travel & outreach to maintain/grow International enrollments.
