2017 Days of Dialogue (DoD)

The Days of Dialogue (DoD) are usually scheduled on the third Thursday of each month. The intent of these sessions is to dialogue and receive feedback about important student success topics, such as: student outcomes, student equity, academic quality, institutional effectiveness, and continuous improvement of student learning and achievement.

July 20, 2017 – Integrating Planning @ LATTC

Presentation and handouts: 
  • Presentation: Integrating Planning @ LATTC: Equity, Basic Skills & SSSP – Aligning State Plans and College Strategic Educational Master Plan

  • Objectives: Provide Overview of Student Success Committee Charge & Monitoring of Equity/Basic Skills/SSSP Plans ~ Provide update on progress on Equity/Basic Skills/SSSP Plan ~ Provide input to Required Integrated State Plan and Align with LATTC Strategic Educational Master Plan in development.
  • Activities: Participants reviewed the Equity/SSSP/Basic Skills goals assigned and corresponding data and responded the following questions: Did we move the needle? How are we progressing on the planned activities? Are we on target to meet the goal(s) by 2020? What suggestions or recommendations do you have for the plan update?

May 18, 2017 – LATTC Educational Master Plan (Continued).

  • Objectives: •  Review Educational Policies Committee Progress on LATTC Educational Master Plan Strategic Initiatives and Milestones • Identify metrics to evaluate Educational Master Plan • Review and Outline Next Steps in the Planning Process.
  • Activities: Participants engaged in 3 activities, where each table identified short and long term milestones in Advance student learning and achievement in Pathways, Establishing and strengthening connections to community, business, labor, and employers to improve economic opportunities, along with providing and expanding professional development opportunities to support Pathway innovation and student achievement.

  • Objectives: •Provide update to Mission Statement. • Provide overview of the Educational
    Policies Committee’s work-to-date on Educational Master Plan. • Obtain feedback and input on the
    Educational Master Plan Strategic Initiatives with timeline.
  • Activities: Participants engaged in 3 activities, where each table identified 1 short term (1-2 years) and 1 long term (3-5 years) milestone for each Strategic Initiative.

  • Objectives: •To describe the planning process for the new District Strategic Plan. • To review the existing District Strategic Plan. • To gain input for inclusion in the new District Strategic Plan.
