Functional Areas

The Office of institutional effectiveness accomplishes its work through four main functions: Research and Planning, Assessment, Program Review and Accreditation Standard I – Mission and Institutional Effectiveness. We do this by:

  • Leading research, planning, and organizational development activities
  • Facilitating the establishment and improvement of institutional effectiveness and innovation policies and practices (e.g., process mapping, continuous quality improvement, outcomes assessment, etc.), with particular attention to improving student success
  • Developing and implementing “Knowledge Management” activities at the college through the use of institutional accountability frameworks, outcome indicators, and transparency
  • Facilitating the alignment and integration of college planning, accreditation, program review, assessment, student success and other institution-wide processes and initiatives
  • Providing support in the preparation of the reports for application for reaffirmation of accreditation, the annual and mid-term accreditation reports, and other accreditation reporting requirements of the ACCJC
  • Leading the development, implementation, and assessment of LATTC’s existing and new effectiveness and innovation projects*
