Now before the SLATEZ and ARC cohorts graduated, they decided to take on some physical competitions between the two groups. They held a type of competitive relay race where participants lifted tires, carried masonry blocks and ran with lumber planks as quickly as possible. It was a battle but the ARC folks ended up victorious. Both winners and losers showed class after the battle was over. Congratulations to both teams.
Yet another cohort of ARC graduates has made it through the boot camp program and the members are ready to take on careers in the construction industry. This program would not be possible without the partnership between the LA County Fed, The LA/OC Building Trades, the Anti-Recidivism Coalition and LA Trade Tech. These re-entry students have taken a new road toward success.
